Prime Video has revealed a new three-part psychological thriller series, Fear, about a family pushed to their absolute limits. Martin Compston (The Rig, Line of Duty) leads the cast, alongside Anjli Mohindra (Vigil, The Lazarus Project), Solly McLeod (Tom Jones, The Dead Don’t Hurt), BAFTA-winning James Cosmo (Jack Ryan, Game of Thrones), Maureen Beattie (Deadwater Fell, Our House), Daniel Portman (Black Mirror, Game of Thrones), Anneika Rose (Crossfire, Line of Duty) and Bhav Joshi (Breathtaking, The Diplomat). Filming is underway and the entire series will be shot in Glasgow.

Excited to make a fresh start away from London, Martyn (Martin Compston) and Rebecca (Anjli Mohindra) move into a beautiful house in Glasgow with their two young children. At first the new home seems idyllic, but when their neighbour Jan (Solly McLeod) makes unnerving comments to Rebecca it turns out to be the start of something far more intimidating. Facing accusations that are every parent’s worst nightmare, and with the authorities refusing to step in, Martyn and Rebecca feel they have nowhere to turn to for help.

Fear is from Wild Mercury (a Banijay UK company) (The Rig, The Sixth Commandment) and Capricorn Productions, written by Mick Ford (After the Flood, The Stranger) based on the book by Dirk Kurbjuweit and directed by Justin Chadwick (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom, Shardlake). Executive producers are Derek Wax and Frances Flannery for Wild Mercury, Suzanne Reid for Capricorn Productions, Mick Ford and Justin Chadwick, the producer is Matt Brown. The production of Fear has been supported by Screen Scotland through its Broadcast Content Fund, Banijay Rights are handling international distribution. Fear will be available on Prime Video in the UK and Ireland in 2025.
