    Banijay, the world’s leading independent producer/distributor, today announces the appointment of Rishi Negi as its new CEO for Endemol Shine India. In his new position he will oversee the existing team, day-to-day affairs, and its productions.

    Negi joins from Banijay Asia, where, until now, he has served as Chief Operating Officer. There, he supported CEO, Deepak Dhar, and the wider business, with all operational, commercial, financial, and general business-driven strategic matters. He joined the group with over two decades of experience in hospitality, entertainment, and retail, having worked for the likes of the Taj Group of hotels, and Emerald Asia Media Fame India limited among others.

    In the new role, he will report to Banijay’s COO, Peter Langengerg, who oversees the region.

    The news of Rishi’s appointment follows Abhishek Rege’s recent resignation from his post as CEO, Endemol Shine India.

    Banijay, the largest international producer distributor, today confirms Peter Langenberg as group COO, completing its central leadership team structure. Alongside oversight of Banijay Brands and IT, he will have operational responsibility for the UK, India, Benelux, Russia and Poland.

     

    Langenberg joined Banijay as COO back in November 2016, and has since led operations across the global footprint, while building synergies and increasing development opportunities. Prior to joining the business, he was VP Business Management at Warner Bros International TV Production, a role he held from 2011 to 2016. Before that, he was COO for R&D Media Holding and 3 Circles Media Holding.

     

    The Banijay exec also spent ten years with Endemol, where his roles included Executive Director of Operations for Latin America and later for the entire Endemol Group. Before leaving the business, he was Managing Director Entertainment for Endemol Nederland B.V.

     

    COO Langenberg played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Endemol Shine Group and has since led the integration efforts worldwide in terms of talent and systems, in partnership with Chief Executive Officer, Marco Bassetti, to whom he reports.

  3. Zodiak Belgium Names New MD

    Zodiak Belgium, a Banijay Group company, today announces the appointment of Isabelle Dams as its new MD. Joining in autumn from SBS Belgium, she will take responsibility for all of the business’ operations, overseeing all production and working closely with the MDs across the footprint worldwide to share and trade IP.

     

    At SBS Belgium, Dams led both Channel 5 as Netmanager and the company’s in-house production company, for which she drove production across the network’s Channels – 4 and 5. She had joined the business in 2010 as Content Manager, having previously been a showrunner, reporter and editor-in-chief on some of the country’s leading shows including Jambers Magazine, De Heren maken de Man and Beautiful en De Nieuwe Mama at De Televisiefabriek, which was eventually acquired by Eyeworks Entertainment.

     

    In her new role at Zodiak Belgium, Dams will report to Banijay Group COO, Peter Langenberg, and is charged with driving the business to new heights via the development and production of original content, with local and global appeal.
