L’Isola dei Famosi is a reality show based on the successful international format, Survivor. A group of celebrities are placed on an island and as there are no facilities, they must learn to build a shelter, source food and water, and create a fire.

In each episode, the celebrities also face a range of challenges competing for immunity. The winner of each show is safe and through to the next episode, while the other contestants risk the live elimination. Gradually, the numbers are reduced until a finalist wins the final challenges and walks away with the prize.
