L’Ereditá

This popular gameshow has ten rounds which contestants must navigate in order to reach the final. Each contestant begins with an equal share of the cash prize, but they can only stay in the game and collect the total sum by answering correctly.

If a contestant answers two questions incorrectly they can select another opponent for a ‘duel’. If the chosen contestant answers incorrectly, they are eliminated, and their share of the money goes to the person who picked them. Gradually contestants are removed until only one remains. The finalist must answer the last question correctly or risk losing all of the money.

This gameshow tests more than just general knowledge, with each round touching on different themes and unveiling varying answering conditions including the time period they have to answer. With more than 4000 episodes, L’Ereditá is the longest-running gameshow on Italian television.
