In addition to his role as CEO of the Banijay Group in Germany, Marcus Wolter will become the new head of Brainpool TV GmbH from January 2019. Marcus Wolter succeeds Interim Managing Director and Banijay Group COO Peter Langenberg, who took over the role in the company on an interim basis. The team of the Brainpool management remains unchanged with Andreas Viek, Godehard Wolpers and Tobi Baumann.
Until the end of 2017, Marcus Wolter was CEO of TV production company Endemol Shine. The Hamburg-born manager founded joint ventures with fiction producers Wiedemann & Berg, Jörg Pilawa and Florida TV with moderator duo Joko Winterscheidt and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf. In 2015, Marcus Wolter led the merger between Endemol and Shine and was subsequently appointed as Chairman Europe to the Executive Board of the new group. Under his leadership, formats such as “Kitchen Impossible”, “Duel around the World”, “Celebrity Big Brother”, “Big Bounce Battle”, “Germany’s Super Brain”, “Tatort Weimar”, “Tatort Dresden”, “Circus HalliGalli”, “4 Blocks” and “Dark”, Germany’s first Netflix series. Since August 2018, the media entrepreneur has been CEO and co-partner of Banijay Germany.
