Johannes Jensen

Nordic Group Head of Scripted

Johannes Jensen started his career in 1992, working as a freelancer at Strix Television. In 1997, he was one of the producers behind the world’s first production of Survivorfor Swedish public broadcaster SVT. After leaving Strix in 1999, he started a production company together with two colleagues. They created and produced the first Swedish sports gala in 2000 – Idrottsgalan. In 2001 he left the company to join Jarowskij as Head of Development, and in 2005 became the company’s Managing Director. After four years, the business merged and became part of the International Zodiak Media Group, at which point he was appointed CEO of the Nordic division, which he held until February 2016. In September 2014, he took on the role as MD for Zodiak’s successful fiction company, Yellow Bird, a position he had together with his role at Zodiak Nordic.

After the merger with Banijay Group, Jensen became Deputy Group CEO for Banijay Nordic, and continues running Yellow Bird as MD, which has now expanded into the UK and U.S..
