Hoogstra joined SDE in early 2016 as Chief Creative Officer after an eight-year stint at A+E Networks. After he joined History as VP in 2007, he made his way up to general manager of both History and H2 in 2013. He ushered in scripted programming with hit shows Hatfields & McCoys, TheBible, and Vikings. At SDE he is reunited with David, with whom he worked on The Men Who Built America (History) and is expected to lead a push into scripted content.
