    Banijay Kids & Family the global leader in children’s entertainment, behind hit shows such as Totally Spies! and Mr Bean: The Animated Series, today announces it has acquired the rights to preschool animation series Charlie and Lola.

    A Tiger Aspect Kids & Family property, the series has won numerous industry accolades, including multiple Children’s BAFTAs. The iconic series, which combines 2D cut-out style animation and photomontage with a children’s voice cast, is based on the award-winning picture book series by Lauren Child. There have been three seasons to-date, totalling 78×11’ and 2×22’ episodes, which first launched on CBeebies in 2005.

With Tiger Aspect Kids & Family’s presence internationally and its strong creative team, the collaboration aligns both companies ambitions to nurture talent and grow in the entertainment space.

    Banijay Kids & Family today announces a new animation, Super Happy Magic Forest, produced by Tiger Aspect Kids & Family with Movimenti Production (both Banijay Kids & Family companies). A broadcast collaboration with BBC and Rai Kids, the series is based on the popular picture books of the same name by Matty Long. A pre-sale has also been secured with Canal+.

    First published by Oxford University Press in 2015, Super Happy Magic Forest is a comedy quest adventure series featuring five heroes, brought together by their mutual love of questing, picnics and frolicking. Led by the outgoing and courageous faun, Hoofius; Blossom (unicorn), Herbert (gnome), Twinkle (fairy) and Trevor (mushroom) battle villains, share journeys, and have a jolly good time along the way as they learn how to be true heroes and how to quest sensibly.

    The 52×11 minutes series will bring to life the world created in the books, in a colourful 2D animation for 7+ years. Exec Producers are Tiger Aspect Kids & Family’s MD Tom Beattie (Mr Bean: The Animated Series) and Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh (Phineas and Ferb).

    Today YouTube Originals Kids & Family premieres the Corpse Talk: Halloween Special, a spooktacular new Halloween special for the comedy animation series “Corpse Talk,” with voice work from Joe Sugg, Ardal O’Hanlon, Julia Davis and Tony Gardner. Produced by Tiger Aspect Kids & Family (part of Banijay Kids & Family), the 15-minute special will be available on the Cartoons For Kids YouTube channel and on the YouTube Kids app from today, 7th October 2022.

    The Corpse Talk: Halloween Special takes place in the graveyard studio where host Adam (actor and YouTube star Joe Sugg) is joined by Mary Shelley (Julia Davis), author of Frankenstein; Bram Stoker (Ardal O’Hanlon) author of Dracula; and finally, the discoverer of King Tutankhamun’s tomb, Howard Carter (Tony Gardner). Through Adam’s chat-show banter, we discover how Frankenstein was created on a rainy holiday, Bram Stoker is introduced to gaming and how many underpants Tutankhamun needed in his afterlife. We’ll also find out which is the scariest story and which of the guests…or host…is the most scared!

    Corpse Talk, which premiered this May, is a light-hearted and educational series based on the children’s graphic novels and comics of the same name, created by Adam and Lisa Murphy. Episodes are hosted by the witty and cheeky, Adam (voiced by Joe Sugg), who brings a variety of monarchs, artists, scientists and innovators back to life, to interview them and find out about their extraordinary and celebrated life stories in an unusual and very special kind of chat-show.

    Spanish-language versions of all Corpse Talk episodes also start rolling out today on the Viva Mr. Bean YouTube channel, with new episodes launching every Friday and Tuesday. The “Corpse Talk: Halloween Special” will air in Spanish on October 25.

    Tiger Aspect Kids & Family has worked with educational and historical consultants to develop a range of accompanying educational resources for each of the episodes, including the Halloween special, which are available HERE.

    Banijay, the largest independent content producer and distributor, today announces its first activation in the Metaverse with a Mr Bean NFT drop, in collaboration with intellectual property specialist, Metaverse architectsand leaders in the Web3 revolution; FOMO Lab.

     

    NFTs have captured the attention of millions, and now cultural icon Mr Bean is taking steps into the Metaverse with the help of FOMO Lab. Fans will be able to own Mr Bean digital assets and collectibles, inspired by the hit animated series. Available via FOMO Lab’s marketplace, The Avenue, the genesis Mr Bean NFT collection will be an assortment of 3,333 unique digital collectibles, purchasable from 25th May using cryptocurrency Ether on FOMO Lab’s NFT marketplace, TheAvenue.market.

    YouTube today announced “Corpse Talk,” a new Kids and Family animated comedy-led chat show, voiced by Joe Sugg, that brings history to life by showcasing the amazing achievements of a selection of diverse and entertaining historical figures. The series will consist of 13 episodes available exclusively on the Cartoons for Kids YouTube Channel and the YouTube Kids app. The first two episodes of the series will premiere in May on Friday the 13th, with further episodes dropping on Tuesdays and Fridays.

    Produced by Tiger Aspect Kids and Family (“Mr. Bean”) in the UK, part of Banijay Kids & Family, and based on the popular graphic novels and comic series of the same name featured in The Phoenix Comic and created by Adam and Lisa Murphy, an award-winning husband-and-wife comics-making team. “Corpse Talk” is a lethally entertaining, comedy-led chat show hosted by the witty and cheeky history-loving Adam (voiced by popular British actor and YouTube creator Joe Sugg), who is very much alive, even though his famous guests are not.
