    Content powerhouse, Banijay Entertainment, today announces Endemol Shine Poland will produce a new season of the reality talent format, Must Be the Music, for Polsat. Last aired in 2016, the 10-episode reboot is set to captivate Polish audiences once again with its celebration of musical talent.

    The musical talent search format is open to solo artists, groups, vocalists, and instrumentalists. Contestants receive creative support, promotional advice, and a chance to win a cash fund to kickstart their careers. Expert judges audition thousands of acts nationwide, with selected contestants advancing to studio-based semi-finals. Viewers choose the winner, and all performances are available for immediate download, allowing fans to support their favourite artists regardless of the competition’s outcome.

    Going Home for Love follows four Polish-American bachelors in Chicago searching for love. These men, connected by their Polish heritage, invite intriguing Polish women to Chicago. The women experience the men’s lives, meet their families, and enjoy romantic adventures blending American and Polish traditions. As they navigate these encounters, the bachelors decide who to pursue further, potentially even visiting Poland to deepen connections.

    Content powerhouse, Banijay Entertainment, today announces Return Masters has been picked up by France’s 6ter for 6×52’, Poland’s Super Polsat for a 24×60’ run, and the Netherlands’ RTL5 for a 50×43’ series. Originally created by Endemol Shine Germany and DSP (part of Banijay UK), the latest versions will be produced by Banijay Entertainment’s Endemol France, Endemol Shine Poland (part of Banijay Germany), and SimpelZodiak (part of Banijay Benelux) respectively.

    Return Masters follows second-hand traders competing to make the most profit by bidding on mystery pallets filled with returned goods. Using their expertise, they go head-to-head as they haggle, bid, and bag bargains galore in the ultimate battle of returns dealers. It has run for four seasons on RTL in Germany and the French, Polish and Dutch versions mark the first international adaptations.

    Content powerhouse, Banijay Entertainment, today announces the return of crime thriller Penoza to Polish screens. After an eight-year hiatus, Banijay label Endemol Shine Poland is producing a third season, which will air on TVP 2 in the spring.

    Originally created by NL Film, part of Banijay Benelux, the award-winning format, Penoza, has been adapted in seven markets across Europe and the US.  In this Polish series, Agata Kulesza reprises her role as Carmen, a resilient woman entangled in the dangerous male-dominated world of organised crime. This new season picks up with her release from prison, as she seeks a peaceful life as a wife and mother. However, her hopes are dashed as she is once again drawn into the ruthless underworld. It’s a gripping story of survival, directed by Michał Rogalski (The Spy’s Bay, War Girls).

    Content powerhouse, Banijay Entertainment, today announces SAS: Who Dares Wins, originally created by Minnow Films for Channel 4, has been commissioned for a first season in Poland. Known locally as Siły Specjalne Polska, this version for Polsat, produced by Endemol Shine Poland, marks the tenth version of the format.

    SAS: Who Dares Wins sees participants undertake a unique version of the special forces selection process to discover if they have what is required.  The Polish version will follow the journey of 18 recruits, under the leadership of four former members of elite units, Wojciech “Zachar” Zacharków (former officer, AGAT Military Unit), Marek “Włóczykij” Stan (former operator, GROM Military Unit), Piotr “Gniady” Hajkowski (former operator, Formoza Military Unit) and Piotr “Soyers” Soyka (former operator, Commandos Military Unit). The recruits face tasks based on real special forces training and will confront their deepest fears, demonstrate extraordinary physical fitness, reach the limits of the human psyche, and surpass their endurance threshold.

Endemol Shine Poland has begun filming the new series which will air on TVP this September. Popular presenter, actor and singer, Barbara Kurdej-Szatan, will host.

    Boomerissima (tilted Cudowne lata in Poland) is a unique and lively entertainment gameshow pitting generations against each other to prove their superiority. Every episode sees celebrities from different eras take each other on, as they highlight TV shows, movies, music, famous names, adverts and more, to refute stereotypes and determine whether things were better in the past or the present. However, the studio audience has the final say about which generation will come out on top.

Under the guidance of mentors – esteemed stars of the Polish drag scene – and  a discerning jury, contestants will compete in a series of challenges.

    Viewers witness the journey of each celebrity as they embrace the colourful and artistic world of drag queens, learning the art of makeup, costume creation, and captivating stage presence. The highlight of the competition will be the exhilarating lip sync battle, where only one pair will emerge victorious, claiming the coveted queens’ diadems.

    Banijay today confirms new leadership for its Warsaw-based outfit, Endemol Shine Poland, appointing Małgorzata (Gosia) Perkowska-Czaja as Managing Director. A leading local executive, she will be tasked with evolving the business’ slate, diversifying its offering to identify new revenue streams, and strengthening and innovating its commercial strategy to futureproof and bolster growth. In line with the hire, the label will now fall under the Banijay Germany group umbrella, with the role reporting to Endemol Shine Germany’s MD, Fabian Tobias.

    Endemol Shine Poland alumni Perkowska-Czaja joins from Rochstar, where she has spent a year as MD, responsible for devising and executing the label’s market and sales strategies to ensure a broadening of its client base. She also led on deal negotiations, format and film development, as well as commercial diversification and expansion. Previously, she spent seven years at Endemol Shine Poland, leaving as director of non-scripted sales. Here she oversaw the company’s slate of hit entertainment formats and super brand executions including MasterChef and its spin-offs and Big Brother for TVN; All Together Now and Family Food Fight for POLSAT; The Wall (and international hub) and Don’t Forget the Lyrics! for TVP; and Fort Boyard for Viaplay, as well as branded content and commercial deals for a number of its titles.

A varied career spanning leading global brands, she has also held a number of freelance positions, as well as posts for Reuters, VRT, CNBC and TVP. In addition to her professional credentials, she occasionally lectures at the National Film School in Łódź.

    The news follows Ryszard Sibilski’s decision to step down from the business.

    Temptation Island sees couples embark on a journey to test their commitment to each other. Separated into two different villas, the couples interact with a group of singles to determine if their love is strong enough to withstand the temptations and challenges they will encounter on the island. Will the couples return home stronger than ever, part ways and return home alone, or perhaps have formed a new connection with one of the singles?

    The new Polish adaptation of Temptation Island is the 25th market to adapt the show and comes after the recently announced productions for Mexico, Brazil and Argentina/Chile following an agreement between Banijay Mexico & US Hispanic,  Endemol Shine Brasil and Amazon Prime Video. In addition, the IP enjoys long-running success in territories such as The Netherlands, Italy, Spain, and the US where its latest season marked the 100th globally for the format.

    Banijay today announces Endemol Shine Poland, a Banijay company, will produce hit format Don’t Forget the Lyrics for TVP2. Previously produced by Mastiff Poland, Endemol Shine Poland will bring the format back after a ten-year hiatus.

    Don’t Forget the Lyrics is a music extravaganza show that challenges contestants to try to fill in missing song lyrics for the chance to win a cash prize. From Aretha Franklin to Harry Styles, the contestants take to the stage and, accompanied by a live band, belt out the tunes. However, can they keep singing when the lyrics stop? The revived Polish version will be hosted by celebrity couple Sławomir and Kajra.

    Originally created by FOX, Don’t Forget the Lyrics has been adapted in over 30 territories. Italy too brought the series back earlier this year with strong ratings. In France, the show has aired continuously since 2007, hitting the milestone of 5000 episodes in 2021.

    Banijay today announces two new European deals for global culinary format Family Food Fight.

     

    Sweden’s SVT and Polsat TV have become the latest broadcasters to commission Family Food Fight from Banijay’s Meter and Endemol Shine Poland, with both versions set to air later on in the year.

     

    The format, which was first created by Endemol Shine Australia, has now been adapted in eleven markets with remakes across Europe, as well as Brazil and the US.  Last month, the Italian version returned to Sky Uno, this time featuring families who own their own restaurants. Endemol Shine Italy also launched a TikTok channel alongside the show. The channel already has amassed a following of nearly 10,000 people in two months, allowing fans to interact 24/7 with the content. Additionally, the number of social media interactions has also tripled in comparison to the previous series.

     

    Family Food Fight sees families battle it out in the kitchen for the title of the nation’s best food family. In each episode, they are tasked with creating dishes for different occasions and guest numbers. Tapping into their individual cultures, knowledge and family secrets, the contestants will produce meals which they hope will impress the judges.

    Banijay today announces Endemol Shine Poland has been commissioned by TVN Discovery to produce a local version of hit entertainment format, LEGO MASTERS. 

     

    Poland’s TVN is the ninth broadcaster to commission the show, following deals in the US, UK, Australia, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden and France.  

     

    Marcin Prokop will host the six-part series which launches on 14th November and includes a Christmas episode. He will be joined by Ola Mirecka, the only Polish woman who has designed sets for The LEGO Group, and Paweł Duda, a Polish YouTuber who reviews LEGO sets on his channel, together they will judge the contestant’s creations. 

     

    Earlier this year LEGO MASTERS launched its primetime run on FOX, and ranked as the #1 new launch in the U.S, attracting more than 36 million unique viewers across its first season. The format enjoyed success in Netherlands and Belgium earlier this year, leading its Saturday night slot as the mostwatched entertainment programme.  

     

    The season two launch in Australia this April was the most successful entertainment premiere of 2020 on NINE. And, in September, following two years off-air, the LEGO MASTERS return in Germany launched with an overnight audience of 1.03 million and 15.7% market share among commercial targets 14-49. 

     

    The format was originally created by Tuesdays Child Television and The LEGO Group, and Banijay is the exclusive format and finished tape distributor of LEGO MASTERS globally.
