    Banijay Germany, part of content powerhouse Banijay Entertainment, is expanding into live entertainment in a new cooperation with leading French immersive show producer, LOTCHI, a Banijay Live company, to bring LUMINISCENCE to Germany for the first time. The production tells the story of venerable cathedrals in the interplay of innovative technology and live music with choir and organ – via a mystical voice from off-screen and with an additional exhibition. The German edition will celebrate its premiere from 4 September in St. Paul’s Cathedral in Münster, in the year of the 800th anniversary of the laying of the foundation stone. LUMINISCENCE  was created by LOTCHI and will now be produced by Banijay Germany’s Brainpool Live Entertainment and CAPE CROSS Entertainment Services.

    With its hugely successful sold-out debut in France, the start-up LOTCHI, founded in 2023, has reached  over 500,000 visitors  to date with LUMINISCENCE. In France, it has already taken place in Paris Saint-Eustache Church, Bordeaux Cathedral, Lille Cathedral, Nice Basilica, Rouen Cathedral and Reims Basilica. In May, LUMINISCENCE  launched in San Sebastián (Buen Pastor Cathedral), with Germany the third country to follow.

    The live business is  not new territory  for Banijay Germany: Brainpool Live Entertainment can look back on a great deal of expertise in the implementation of numerous nationwide tour events, primarily in the comedy sector. CAPE CROSS Entertainment Services as a partner brings the technical full service know-how in the field of events and shows. Brainpool Live Entertainment is cooperating  with its external partner Fever for ticket sales.

    ebastian Pufpaff has a heart for celebrities. ProSieben has a heart for celebrities. “TV total” has a heart for celebrities.

    In winter there is therefore a place for them in the warm studio. ProSieben shows Sebastian Pufpaff’s successful comedy show in a new version. From Monday, 25. November, at 8:15 pm starts “TV total – Aber mit Gast”.

    Then on Mondays at Sebastian Pufpaff’s prime time on ProSieben the stars give the handle: Bushido, Thorsten Legat, Harald Glööckler and other celebrities can’t get enough of Nippelboard, Studio-Stange and Klinke Supreme.

    On Wednesdays it continues with the usual outstanding entertainment at “TV total”.

    “TV total – Aber mit Gast” and “TV total” are produced by Brainpool.

    Brainpool is strengthening its management team with two more producers: From September 1st, Marcus Wolter will be bringing Shona Fraser into the management team of Brainpool TV GmbH as a producer. In addition, the previous creative director Florian Göbels will be promoted to the management team within Brainpool as a producer. Göbels and his team will be responsible for entertainment formats such as “TV total”, “Schlag den Star” and large events such as “TV total Turmspringen” or “TV total WOK WM”. Shona Fraser will be setting up a new division at Brainpool that will expand the company to include the light entertainment genre.

    Godehard Wolpers continues to lead the comedy division as producer and managing director (“The best comedians in Germany”, “Bratwurst and Baklava”) and is responsible as co-managing director of Brainpool Live Entertainment (“1Live Comedy Nights XXL”, “Nightwash”, “Cologne Comedy Festival”), together with Ingrid Langheld.

    Fraser, Wolpers and Göbels report to Marcus Wolter, who, in addition to his role as board member of the Banijay Group, is also managing director of Brainpool TV GmbH.

    The producer label Good Times, which has belonged to Banijay Germany since 2019 and was previously managed by Shona Fraser as managing director, will not be continued. Program brands such as “Armes Deutschland – Stempeln oder abrackern” (RTLZWEI), “Yes, we camp” (Kabel Eins), “Wohne meinen Traum” (ZDF/Mediathek) or “Der Trödeltrupp” (RTLZWEI) will move to Banijay Productions under the leadership of Arno Schneppenheim. Shona and her team will continue to be responsible for the ongoing productions “Good Luck Guys” (Joyn) and “Mein Lokal, Dein Lokal” (Kabel Eins).

    Banijay Productions, with managing director Arno Schneppenheim, stands in particular for strong reality brands such as “Kampf der Realitystars” (RTLZWEI), “Temptation Island” (RTL), “Das große Probibüßen” (ProSieben), but also for comedy & shows such as “Hast du Töne?” (Sat.1), or “Chris du das hin?” (Sat.1) as well as for documentaries such as “Daum – Triumphe und Skandale” (Sky).

    Media and entertainment powerhouse Banijay, today announces Brainpool TV (part of Banijay Germany) will restructure its live events, agency and tour divisions under a new label, Brainpool Live Entertainment GmbH. The company will be managed by Ingrid Langheld and Godehard Wolpers.

    The news follows the latest announcement from FL Entertainment (listed entity within which Banijay sits) regarding the launch of ‘Banijay Events’, following its minority investment in The Independents and Banijay’s signing of the majority acquisition of Balich Wonder Studio. The move cements both parties’ commitment to delivering a world-leading live events offering, which is further complimented by Brainpool TV’s independent move.

    All live activities and live brands of the Cologne Comedy Festival and Banijay Live Artist Brand GmbH will sit under Brainpool Live Entertainment GmbH. The focus for the division we be on comedy events and stand-up artists. These include well-known brands such as Die besten Comedians Deutschlands, 1LIVE Comedy-Nächte XXL, Der Deutsche Comedypreis, NightWash, 1LIVE Hörsaal Comedy and talented entertainers such as Nico Stank, Fabio Landert and Jokah Tululu.
