Amazon Prime Video announced today that Súbete A Mi Moto, the 15-episode series about Puerto Rican pop group Menudo, will premiere on October 9th. Produced by Somos Productions, Endemol Shine Boomdog and Piñolywood Studios, Súbete A Mi Moto will be available to Prime Video clients in Mexico and Latin America.

In 1977, in the small town of Caguas, Puerto Rico, an ambitious and skilled businessman named Edgardo Díaz created a group that laid the foundations for the boy bands that still exist today. Creating never-before-seen rules and a work style that had never been implemented, he developed a group that still today is a reference for all other Hispanic young bands, and triggered the solo careers of featured performers.

With drama, passion, incredible stories and anthological songs that frame each episode, Súbete A Mi Moto will tell an adventure of epic proportions: the story of the youth phenomenon that forever revolutionized Latin pop music.

Running through fifteen 60-min episodes, production of Súbete A Mi Moto took place in Mexico and Puerto Rico. The series stars Yamil Ureña and Braulio Castillo as Edgardo Díaz, Sian Chiong as Joselo Vega, Marisol Calero as Doña Panchi, Josette Vidal as Julieta Torres, and Rocío Verdejo as Renata Torres.

Alongside the main cast, a talented group of young performers portray the band members including Felipe Albors and Ethan Schwartz (Ricky Martin), Marcelo Otaño and Eugenio Rivera (Ricky Meléndez), Samu Jove (Xavier Serbia), Gustavo Rosas (Sergio Blass), Alejandro Bermúdez (Rene Farrait), Leonel Otero (Johnny Lozada) and Mauro Hernández (Miguel Cancel), among others.
