Workerbee Expands Live Events Strategy with LOTCHI Partnership
May 21, 2026
Workerbee, a Banijay UK company, has partnered with Banijay Live-owned LOTCHI to produce its first London edition of Luminiscence, marking a significant step in its live events strategy.
Created by LOTCHI, Luminiscence is a globally acclaimed immersive audiovisual experience that reimagines landmark architecture through light and music. This summer, Westminster Cathedral will be illuminated using state-of-the-art 360° projection mapping alongside an incredible live performance of classical music’s greatest composers – Beethoven, Verdi, Debussy, Vivaldi, Bach and more, transporting audiences into a spellbinding fusion of light, sound and storytelling. The event will be narrated by legendary London-born actor Hugh Bonneville and produced by Workerbee, Luminiscence UK and LOTCHI.
The partnership reflects the growing strategic importance of live events within Banijay Entertainment’s global portfolio. Established in 2023, Banijay Live brings together creative studios and expert agencies to deliver premium, world-class live experiences at-scale, in unison with the wider group’s proven track record in content creation and distribution.
Rick Murray, CEO, Workerbee Group said: “In an age of fragmented viewing, shared experiences matter more than ever. At Workerbee, we want to redefine what a TV production company looks like in 2026 by finding new ways to reach audiences, grow IP, and diversify our portfolio. Live events are a major priority, and we’re thrilled to partner with LOTCHI to create a unique and unforgettable event for London.”
Romain Sarfati, CEO and Founder of LOTCHI says: “With twelve productions currently active, Luminiscence continues to resonate with audiences across multiple markets, and its arrival in London reflects both the strength of the format and the value of collaboration with Banijay Live. Westminster Cathedral offers an extraordinary setting for audiences to experience the space in a new light. Joining forces with Workerbee combines our creative framework with strong local expertise to deliver something genuinely special.”
Workerbee previously collaborated with LOTCHI last year on Luminiscence at Manchester Cathedral, marking the experience’s first UK outing. The hugely successful event featured performances of iconic Manchester-born songs by Collectives Gospel Choir with narration by Christopher Eccleston, demonstrating the blend between technology and locally resonant storytelling.
Luminiscence at Westminster Cathedral opens on 1st July 2026 for a limited run, and tickets are now on sale.
Luminiscence has welcomed more than one million visitors internationally, staging immersive productions across the world’s most beautiful cathedrals, churches and historic landmarks in eight countries, including France, Spain, UK, Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Brazil and the US.
With 20+ productions across major cities, including twelve productions currently live, the experience has established a strong presence in the premium live sector, with extended runs, returning engagements and sustained audience demand, all delivered via Banijay Live’s LOTCHI, and Banijay Entertainment’s production labels, bringing a scalable, collaborative production framework across markets.
