Banijay Rights Strikes Cross-Continent Double Deal for Deal or No Deal
April 23, 2026
Banijay Rights, the global distribution arm of media and entertainment powerhouse, Banijay Entertainment, today announces two major deals for the iconic gameshow Deal or No Deal, with local in-house produced adaptations returning this month in the Philippines on ABS-CBN and in Turkey on national broadcaster atv Turkiyë, making its debut on the channel.
These latest agreements underline the enduring global appeal of the emotive, high-stakes gameshow which remains the most widely adapted format in the Banijay Entertainment catalogue and the second most travelled format worldwide.
In the Philippines, the show originally aired as Kapamilya, Deal or No Deal on ABS‑CBN, running for over 870 episodes between 2006 and 2016. In Turkey, the format was first adapted as Var mısın? Yok musun?, airing roughly 350 episodes from 2007 to 2010 across multiple seasons.
The superbrand continues to deliver strong performance internationally and, with these new series, is now active in a total of 13 territories, including the UK and Australia. Its recent revivals on ITV (UK) and Network Ten (Australia) have consistently performed exceptionally well, with the UK series ranking #1 in its slot, achieving an 18.8% share of all viewers and boosting the slot by 27% amongst young audiences.
Pertash Koul, VP Sales, Asia, and Alexander Rubanov, Sales Director, CIS, Balkans & Baltics for Banijay Rights, said: “These two deals are testament to the enduring strength and global appeal of Deal or No Deal. We are proud to see the format return to both Turkey and the Philippines, two vibrant markets with a strong history of embracing this show. This also reflects a broader resurgence we’re seeing in unscripted returnable formats that deliver freshness, excitement and familiarity, and we look forward to building on Deal Or No Deal’s extraordinary global footprint.”
Luis Andrada, VP, Non-narrative programs, at ABS-CBN said: “ABS-CBN has always been the home of iconic game shows like Deal or No Deal and the brand has always been a fan-favourite. A lot of things have changed since the show was last on air a decade ago but we are confident the new generation of Filipino viewers will be captivated by the show’s mix of fun, suspense, thrill and strategy. This new season is bigger, bolder and more exciting than ever before.”
Gulenay Sahin, Head of Content at Turkish Broadcaster atv Turkiyë said: “Here at Turkuvaz Media Center, we have produced numerous projects over the years and brought many different formats to life. So we are thrilled to work with Banijay Rights on one of the world’s most established formats, Deal or No Deal, which I have no doubt will resonate with audiences across Turkey.”
A Banijay Entertainment format, Deal or No Deal first launched in 2002 in the Netherlands. It is one of the most successful gameshow formats worldwide with over 380 series produced to-date in 84 territories, all combining high-stakes gameplay with emotional storytelling.
