Banijay Entertainment Reveals Last One Standing at The London TV Screenings

Media and entertainment powerhouse, Banijay Entertainment, today announces Last One Standing, a major new competition format co-developed by RTL Creative Unit and SimpelZodiak, part of Banijay Benelux for Videoland, RTL’s Dutch streaming service. The series will be exclusively unveiled today at Banijay Entertainment’s showcase at The London TV Screenings, and was selected for the company’s Genre Accelerator Fund, a global initiative which supports development investment for standout non-scripted ideas.

Set against a striking desert-like backdrop, Last One Standing follows a group of celebrities living together 24/7 in a stripped-back camp. This is not a survival test; it’s a battle for peak fitness performance. Across eight, 50-minute episodes, the celebrities take on elite-level trials engineered by top athletes, while an AI-powered fit room reveals their physical condition in real-time. The challenges test every dimension of performance – strength, endurance, speed, agility, mindset and agility, spotlighting each participant’s character, discipline and resilience. With no alliances, and no votes, anyone who loses or quits is instantly out. In the end, only one contender remains – the Last One Standing.

Last One Standing further expands SimpelZodiak’s ongoing expertise in co-development, following recent collaborations like Football Island, a first-of-its-kind football reality survival series co-produced with Banijay Benelux label Southfields and RTL Creative Unit, where a group of legendary former footballers are dropped into a remote tropical location, stadium status is stripped away, and survival is the ultimate game.
