Banijay Entertainment Enlists TheGreenShot to Deliver Comprehensive Carbon Reporting Across Global Operations

Media powerhouse Banijay Entertainment has partnered with TheGreenShot, a Belgian greentech company on a dedicated solution for carbon data reporting across its 25-territory-strong production and live events footprint.
Since its inception in 2008, Banijay Entertainment has built a portfolio of over 130+ creative labels and a content catalogue of 220k+-hours of premium content comprising superbrands like Survivor, Big Brother, MasterChef, Peaky Blinders, Deal or No Deal and Black Mirror to name a few.

Banijay Entertainment has chosen TheGreenShot’s GreenPro software to consolidate its global greenhouse gas accounting process, incorporating data from its worldwide operations. The tool will allow data from the group’s 130+ creative entities to be automatically aggregated at group level, while also generating carbon emissions reports by project at label level. The partnership will roll out in phases. Within a year, all of Banijay Entertainment’s carbon impact from productions is expected to be monitored through GreenPro.

Over the past two years, GreenPro has already processed 83,000 documents and 152,000 financial transactions for 177 productions, measuring 43 500 MTCO 2 . The Banijay Entertainment partnership will significantly expand the solution’s reach and impact.
