24 July, 2024

Content powerhouse, Banijay Entertainment, today announces Puzzle Media, part of Endemol France, will adapt factual series, Men of Honour (Les Héros du Gazon) for France 3. The Banijay Belgium format had two successful seasons
on RTBF.

The French version will spotlight the 40-year-old AS Fontenay-le-Vicomte football club, which is struggling to keep its position in the division. After a disastrous season, the 8-part series will document the team’s journey as they welcome a new head coach, Pascal Dupraz. A former professional player, renowned for his experience coaching Ligue 1 teams, Dupraz will put players through rigorous physical and technical training in a bid to avoid relegation. Will the club rally to win the last five championship games and secure their spot in the division?

Jonathan Politur, Founder and Producer at Puzzle Media: “Our mission is to bring compelling stories of human endurance and passion to the forefront. With Men of Honour, our goal was to capture the thrilling world of football but also inspire viewers by showcasing the resilience and determination of the AS Fontenay-le-Vicomte club. We hope this series will resonate with audiences and cultivate a greater appreciation for the sport and its players."

Puzzle Media joined Endemol France last year with the aim of expanding its sports offering through innovative storytelling. In just a short time, it has grown to be the first French production company to deliver action and board sports content in high volume, with top titles including Riding Zone for France Televisions, which made a grand return
this year to coincide with the Paris Olympic Games.

In 2023, Banijay Entertainment launched Banijay Sports which signalled its ambitions to grow across sportainment, documentary and digital, via new partnerships, content investments and M&A.
