Zodiak Kids Studios gets orders for more Secret Life Of Boys and Millie Inbetween

Zodiak Kids Studios, a Banijay Group company, announces today that CBBC (UK) have ordered a fourth series of BAFTA nominated Miliie Inbetween and in conjunction with ABC ME (Australia) have also commissioned Secret Life Of Boys Christmas Special.

Zodiak Kids Studios are producing 12 x 30’ episodes for the newly commissioned series of the ratings hit Millie Inbetween. With over 50 episodes now produced, the family comedy drama was recently nominated for the BAFTA Children’s Awards (2017) in the “Best Performer” category.

After winning a string of awards for innovative digital content, including the BAFTA for “Best Interactive Original” in 2016 and a RTS at the Northern Ireland awards ceremony last month, interactive live action comedy Secret Life Of Boys will be back with 10 x 5’ episodes for a Christmas special.  Told through the lens of video chats and text messages, this Christmas special is unlike any other you’ve seen before. The episodes will premier online on BBC iPlayer and ABC ME iview before rolling out on the channels linear platforms.

Christmas is fast approaching and Ginger is 16,983 kilometres away from her cousins. It’s a long distance, but Ginger is excited that they’re all coming to Australia for the holidays. That excitement turns to anger when she finds out that her cousins can no longer make the trip because Aunt Corey has to work. She sets out on a mission to convince her family to change their minds and take the journey to visit her. After all, it’s not just about Christmas, Ginger’s birthday is on December 24th!

Millie Inbetween is a comedy drama about families – in this instance complicated ones! In series 4 mum and Mike are married, they’re concentrating on their careers, so Millie and Lauren see less of them. Dad and Amber have moved even further afield – to Spain, for dad’s work, taking their new baby but leaving Fran and Jake in the care of their grandma. Big sister Lauren has a boyfriend, the over-eager Declan, and into this mix comes Leo – a distant teenage cousin of Mike’s who’s come to spend six months at the local football academy. Millie is still the Millie we know and love, but faces fresh challenges as she tries to bring the lessons she’s learned from balancing two families into new and ever more complicated situations.

Zodiak Kids owns worldwide distribution rights to both series.
