The Comedy Unit win at Scottish BAFTAs

The Comedy Unit, a Banijay Group company, have won a Scottish BAFTA for their BBC One Scotland comedy series Scot Squad in the Television Scripted category.

The British Academy Scotland Awards took place on Monday at a star-studded event that celebrates the very best film and television produced in Scotland. Hosted by Edith Bowman, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, Rupert Everett and Karen Gillan were handing out awards.

The Comedy Unit’s series Scot Squad is a spoof police reality show following the first Unified Scottish Police Force and stars actor Jack Docherty as Chief Commissioner Cameron Miekelson. It has run now for four successful series on BBC One Scotland.
